Medoc Marathon
September 16, 2010

A happy renter just FaceBooked me today after arriving at the Cave Yuccas. “LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!” she said. She just ran the Medoc Marathon, which from her description sounded more like a 26 mile gorge-a-thon than a race! “The marathon was truly a once in a lifetime wonderful experience and I advise anyone the least bit adventurous to just do it… heavens-I did it, so that means many can…” Here’s a link to info about the marathon: http://www.marathondumedoc.com/

Heading back to Heaven
September 4, 2010

Almost a year has passed since my last post, and I’m on my way back to Trôo for another glorious autumn. Highlights of my last trip in early summer were putting in the vegetable garden, hanging the hammock for the summer months, and of course, the Fete de la Musique on June 13 featuring 36 bands! I made a video of walking up to the cottage, which was an amazing day for the hollyhocks as you can see here.

So far everyone has enjoyed their stay at the Cave Yuccas enormously. It’s fun to read the guest reviews… makes me so happy to know I’ll be back to my home-away-from-home soon!
